My husband and I have taken a couple mini-vacations in the past couple weeks. We've had the chance to go to Seattle and a place called Osoyoos (O-soy-oos..rhymes with moose). I love heading down to Seattle. It's only a couple hours drive south from Vancouver and I absolutely adore going to the market.
I've always wanted to get the famous "throw the fish across the shop" picture so this time we waited and waited and waited. We waited some more and then we gave up and left. But of course, as soon as we walked away we heard oooohhhing and awwwing and cheering. Typical. So we went back and waited some more. This happened twice. Then we gave up for real. So, here you have it. A picture of the fish shop. No airborne fish to be seen. Boo.
They had the most beautiful flower arrangements. Too bad I couldn't bring any over the border.
We also spent a weekend in our 'Wine Country". The place where we stayed is actually a desert in this part of British Columbia. The vineyards and wineries are just a short drive away and we had the most amazing time! Brought home 2+ cases. Yum.
