A few weeks ago, my husband had his 30th birthday. Can you believe he didn't want to do anything to celebrate?! I know. It took weeks but I finally convinced him to have a party. On a yacht. I know. Awesome right? Then, to my horror, he said I couldn't do any cute crafty stuff for his party. I mean, seriously. No cute nautical invitations? Nope. No blue & white fabric bunting? Nope.
He sat me down and said he didn't want it to be one of those lame fru fru (are those words?) yacht parties where people named Buffy sip on their mint juleps with their pinkies up. He said he wanted to have fun. Ouch. Ok. So instead, we encouraged everyone to dress in preppy country club attire and we played "I"m on a Boat" all night while drinking mystery concoctions from plastic cups. Real high society style. Yep, that's how we roll.
He even let me do one crafty thing: Cupcake toppers made with Japanese masking tape
Sounds like my hubby :) But the party sounded like it was fun and the cupcake toppers looked super cute!!! Love the photo of you two at the end :)
